SEPTEMBER SENIOR PET OF THE MONTH
Meet Alexander the Great — 17 Years Young! 💜

Alexander’s Story
Alexander the Great recently celebrated his 17th birthday, and he is still every bit the sweetheart he has always been.
Alexander was adopted from the Alexandria shelter when he was just 2 years old. Fifteen years later, he continues to bring love, comfort, and companionship to his family every day.
He shares his home with four cat siblings and one dog sibling. Alexander especially loves waking his mom up in the morning and lying with her when she goes to sleep at night.
He also enjoys going outside now and then to eat a little grass and, of course, he loves his treats.
At 17 years young, Alexander the Great is a beautiful reminder of just how much senior cats still have to give. Growing older doesn’t take away their ability to love, form deep bonds, enjoy their favorite routines, or bring joy and companionship to the people who cherish them.
Senior cats deserve to be celebrated at every stage of life. Alexander’s story reminds us that the golden years can still be filled with comfort, personality, love, and plenty of special moments.
Here’s to Alexander the Great — 17 years young and proof that every paw has a story worth celebrating. 💜
