How It Began
Faith Paws Partners, Inc. grew from April N. Watson’s lifelong passion for animals and decades of personal, professional, and volunteer involvement in animal welfare. Her experiences working in an animal shelter, fostering and adopting animals, volunteering, caring for community cats, and advocating for humane treatment helped lay the foundation for the organization.
Over time, April saw that many people care deeply about animals and want to help, but may not always know where to begin or how to get connected. She also recognized the importance of stronger partnerships among animal shelters, animal rescue organizations, foster caregivers, volunteers, and the community. Those experiences and observations ultimately inspired the creation of Faith Paws Partners, Inc.
Faith Paws Partners, Inc. was created to strengthen those connections through partnership, education, advocacy, volunteer engagement, and community support. While the organization’s programs currently focus primarily on cats and dogs, its foundation reflects April’s broader commitment to the humane treatment and well-being of animals.
Why Faith Paws Partners Exists
Faith Paws Partners, Inc. exists to help strengthen the connections that support cats and dogs in our communities. Animal shelters, animal rescue organizations, foster caregivers, volunteers, pet owners, and community members all play an important role in animal welfare. We believe that through compassion, partnership, education, advocacy, and service, we can work together to create better outcomes for animals and the people who care for them.
We recognize that many people have a heart for animals and want to help but may not always know where to begin, what resources are available, or how to get connected. Faith Paws Partners, Inc. was created to help bridge those gaps by bringing people, information, resources, and opportunities for service together in meaningful ways.
Our work is grounded in faith and in the belief that caring for animals is part of being responsible stewards of God’s creation. Through partnership, education, advocacy, volunteer engagement, and community support, we seek to serve with compassion, encourage humane care, and inspire others to make a positive difference.

Our faith shapes how we serve both animals and people. We strive to approach our work with empathy, respect, patience, and love, recognizing that meaningful change often begins when people come together with a shared heart for service.

Through faith and partnership, we are committed to helping build communities where animals are treated with dignity and care and where people are encouraged, equipped, and inspired to be part of that work.
