When safety is at risk, pets matter too.

People experiencing domestic violence, homelessness, unsafe housing, or another serious crisis may face an additional concern when seeking safety: What will happen to my pet?

Temporary safe-haven programs and other community resources may be available to provide short-term boarding, foster care, emergency placement, or assistance locating a safe place for a pet.

Important: Faith Paws Partners does not provide emergency sheltering, temporary boarding, or domestic violence services. The resources below are provided to help individuals connect with organizations that may be able to assist.

Search for programs that provide sheltering resources for pets belonging to people experiencing domestic violence or homelessness.

Provides assistance for people experiencing domestic violence who are concerned about the safety of their pets, including temporary safe housing for pets.

Provides short-term temporary care for pets whose owners need to leave an unsafe situation.

Can assist individuals with arranging temporary placement for a pet when there is no friend or family member available to provide care.

RedRover Relief — Safe Escape Grants

Provides assistance with eligible temporary pet boarding costs for survivors escaping domestic violence. Applications are submitted on behalf of survivors by domestic violence advocates.
